Lily Lolo Mineral Cosmetics Nail Polish | Review

About the Brand

Lily Lolo is an upcoming British brand, providing a large range of cruelty free mineral products. As their website states, all Lily Lolo products are ‘free of any parabens, synthetic perfumes or dyes’, including their nail polishes. They are also proudly BUAV (Cruelty Free International) approved.

The Product

Carnival, the hot pink shade, and candy floss, the aptly named lighter shade, are part of an eight piece series; the ‘8-Free Nail Polish’. The brand claims the polishes are not only fortifying by strengthening and protecting the nails but also easy to apply and chip resistant. The collection is named ‘8-Free’ because the nail polishes are free of toluene, DBP, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, parabens, phthalates, xylene, and ethyl tosylamide resin. Additionally, all shades of Lily Lolo nail polishes are vegan friendly.

Application

The nail polish is super easy to apply, you can get away with just one coat if you’re in a hurry but doubling up will make the product more resistant to chipping. When applying two coats, the polish takes around 15 minutes to dry completely. The brand claims the polish is quick-drying but it isn’t really compared to other quick drying polishes on the market, such as Barry M Speedy Quick Dry.

Packaging

The nail polishes are nicely packaged in their own little boxes which gives them a more luxurious look to many other sans box high street brands, however the cardboard boxing may be unnecessary as the jars are pretty enough with the simple design and central logo. Each polish is currently priced at £6.99.

Lily Lolo offers a great range of mineral products and right now are offering free delivery on all products! These polishes are available at lilylolo.co.uk.

Summary

These polishes are quite expensive compared to other brands and not all Lily Lolo products are vegan friendly, although the nail polishes are. Also, there are not many shades to pick from, but hopefully the company will add more colour collections. The polishes apply really well and last a long time. The best thing about these polishes are that they are free from harsh chemicals that could damage nails.
