CosmEthics

cruelty free apps
CosmEthics

CosmEthics is an app that helps you find ingredients in various cosmetic products, rather than providing information about animal testing. You can scan a barcode to see the ingredients as well as finding new cosmetics that are tailored to you. You can set filters on the app to avoid animal products, as well as allergies. This app also has great functionality to find new products that fit around your filters, however it would be great to see a cruelty free filter soon.

BunnyFree

Bunny Free is a cute app that lets you search for companies and see whether they are cruelty free or not. You can easily browse through the database and discover new cruelty free brands. You can also share testing policies and look up items via barcode. Bunny Free uses the same database as PETA and it is a really nicely designed app that is easy to navigate, however although this app works well for American consumers, there still needs to be more British brands.

Cruelty-Free

Cruelty-Free is a great app for looking up brands quickly by typing them into the search bar at the top. If a brand doesn’t show up then it is either tested on animals or not on the app so it is still important to do your research. Nonetheless, the app is simple and easy to navigate, and regular updates ensure that cruelty free brands are added frequently. This app is published by the CCIC Leaping Bunny Program. The Leaping Bunny logo ensures that no ingredients or finished products are tested on animals, however companies on this app may not be vegan.
